 West Central Fire District Is Hiring Lateral Firefighters

WCFD is seeking experienced firefighters ready to bring their skills, professionalism, and pride to a district that values them.

If you’re a proven Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic looking for a district that respects your time, your training, and your career, West Central wants you.

Lateral Positions Open:
• Firefighter/EMT
• Firefighter/Paramedic

What We Offer Lateral Hires:
• 1-for-1 career service credit toward longevity & vacation
• Pension base: $84,263
• Annual uniform allowance: $1,000
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision
• Health Savings Account (HSA)
• Indiana 77 Fund — District pays 3% of the employee share
• Longevity pay — maxes out at 20 years

Requirements:
• Eligible for the Indiana 77 Fund
• Firefighter I & II
• EMT certification (or higher within 1 year)
• Hazmat Operations
• NIMS 100, 700, 800
• CPAT not required for lateral transfers
